Last updated · Version 2026-10-15
The short version
- You need to be 16 or older, and your account is just for you.
- You own your content. We use it only to run BriefMia for you.
- AI can be wrong. The assistant asks before it changes anything, unless you allow it, and never spends money unless you turn that on with limits.
- Connected services have their own terms, which also apply.
- Cancel a paid plan any time and keep access until the end of the period you paid for.
- These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada.

This agreement
These terms are an agreement between you and an independent developer based in Ontario, Canada (“we”, “us”), who runs BriefMia. By creating an account or using the service you accept them. If you do not agree, please do not use BriefMia.
Our privacy policy and cookie policy explain how we handle your information and form part of these terms.
Who can use it
You must be at least 16 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. You may use BriefMia only for yourself; an account is personal and may not be shared, sold or transferred.
Your account
- You sign in with your Google account. Keep that account secure, as anyone with access to it can reach yours.
- You are responsible for what happens in your account, including actions you allow the assistant to take.
- Tell us straight away at seyedhamidjavaheri@gmail.com if you think someone else has used your account.
Acceptable use
Please use BriefMia fairly. You agree not to:
- break the law, or use the service to harass, deceive, defraud or harm anyone;
- send spam or unwanted messages, or invite people to events without a good reason;
- upload or connect content you do not have the right to use;
- try to get into other accounts or our systems, probe for weaknesses, or get around limits, budgets or security measures;
- overload the service, scrape it, or use automated means to access it except as we provide;
- copy, resell or build a competing service from BriefMia or its AI features;
- use the AI features to produce content that is unlawful, harmful or breaks our providers’ usage rules.
The assistant and AI features
BriefMia uses AI to summarise news and links, suggest how to use free time, and power an assistant that can read and change things for you. Please keep these points in mind:
- AI can be wrong. Summaries, answers, suggestions and drafts may be incomplete, out of date or mistaken. Check anything important before you rely on it, especially times, places, prices and travel details.
- You stay in charge. By default the assistant shows you each change (such as an event, a reply or an email) and waits for you to confirm. If you allow it to act without asking for a kind of change, you accept responsibility for what it does within that permission. You can change these settings at any time.
- Money. The assistant never makes a payment or a booking that costs money unless you have turned that on yourself and set spending limits. Even then, you are responsible for checking each purchase.
- Not professional advice. Nothing from the AI features is legal, medical, financial or other professional advice.
- Limits. AI features have a monthly budget per account. When it runs out, they pause, and BriefMia keeps working without them.
Connected services
You can connect Google services and other apps, such as Notion, Linear, Atlassian or Kiwi.com. When you do:
- Those services are run by other companies under their own terms and privacy policies, which you are responsible for following.
- You authorise us to access them on your behalf, only as needed for the features you use and within the permissions you set.
- We are not responsible for those services, their content, their availability or changes they make that affect how a connection works.
- Bookings and purchases made on another service are between you and that service.
Our use of Google data is described on our Google data page.
Your content
You own what you put into BriefMia: your entries, notes, settings, chats and the data you connect. You give us permission to store, process and display it only as needed to run the service for you, including sending it to the providers listed in our privacy policy. This permission ends when you delete the content or your account, apart from routine backups that expire on their own.
You are responsible for your content and confirm you have the right to use it with BriefMia.
Plans and payments
BriefMia may offer free and paid plans. Before you pay, we will show you the price, what is included and how often you will be charged.
- Billing. Payments are handled by our payment processor. A subscription renews automatically at the end of each billing period until you cancel. Prices include or exclude tax as shown at checkout.
- Cancelling. You can cancel at any time. You keep access to your paid plan until the end of the period you have paid for, and you will not be charged again.
- Refunds. Payments are not refundable for partial periods, except where the law requires a refund or we decide to give one. If something went wrong, such as a double charge or a service outage, write to seyedhamidjavaheri@gmail.com and we will put it right.
- Price changes. We will tell you at least 30 days before a price change affects your plan, so you can cancel before it applies.
- Failed payments. If a payment fails, we may move your account to the free plan until it is paid. Your data is kept.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer protection law where you live.
Our intellectual property
BriefMia, including its software, design, name and logo, belongs to us and our licensors. We give you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use it while your account is open and you follow these terms. You may not copy, modify, reverse engineer or distribute it, except where the law allows despite this restriction.
Feedback
We welcome ideas and suggestions. If you send us feedback, we may use it to improve BriefMia without owing you anything for it, and without using your name unless you agree.
Changes to the service
We keep improving BriefMia and may add, change or remove features. If we remove something significant that you pay for, we will tell you in advance and, where it is fair, offer a pro-rated refund. The service may occasionally be unavailable for maintenance or for reasons outside our control.
Ending this agreement
You can stop using BriefMia and delete your account at any time in Settings › Account. See delete your data.
We may suspend or close your account if you seriously or repeatedly break these terms, if we must by law, or to protect other people or the service. Where we can, we will warn you first and give you a chance to download your data. If we stop offering BriefMia altogether, we will give you at least 30 days’ notice and refund any unused prepaid period.
Sections that by their nature should continue after the agreement ends (such as intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability and governing law) will continue.
Disclaimers
We work hard to make BriefMia reliable, but it is provided “as is” and “as available”. To the extent the law allows, we make no promises that it will be uninterrupted, error free or suitable for a particular purpose, or that information from AI features, weather, news or connected services will be accurate or complete.
Limitation of liability
To the extent the law allows:
- we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost opportunities, missed appointments or travel, or loss of data you could have exported;
- our total liability for all claims relating to BriefMia is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim and 100 Canadian dollars.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, such as for fraud, or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
Indemnity
If you use BriefMia in a way that breaks these terms or the law and a claim is made against us as a result, you agree to cover our reasonable costs and losses from that claim. This does not apply to the extent the claim was caused by us, or where consumer law does not allow it.
Governing law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Ontario, Canada and the federal laws of Canada that apply there. Any dispute will be heard by the courts of Ontario, Canada, unless the law where you live gives you the right to bring it in your local courts.
Before going to court, please write to us so we can try to resolve the problem informally. Most problems can be sorted out that way.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as BriefMia changes. We will update the date at the top and, for significant changes, tell you in the app or by email at least 14 days before they take effect. If you keep using BriefMia after that, the new terms apply. If you do not agree, you can delete your account before then.
General
- These terms, with the policies they mention, are the whole agreement between you and us about BriefMia.
- If part of them cannot be enforced, the rest still applies.
- If we do not enforce a term straight away, we can still do so later.
- We may transfer this agreement as part of a sale or reorganisation of the service, with your rights protected. You may not transfer it without our agreement.
