These keep you signed in, keep sign-ins safe and remember a view you chose. They are set by BriefMia itself, not by other companies, and are needed for the app to work the way you asked, so the law does not require us to ask first.

Session

Keeps you signed in, so each page knows it is you. Set by our sign-in service when you sign in, and removed when you sign out.

Lasts: Refreshed while you use the app; ends when you sign out.

Sign-in check

A short code that makes sure a Google sign-in you started is the one that finishes, which protects against forged sign-ins.

Lasts: A few minutes.

Sign-in intent

Remembers which step you were on (signing in, connecting your calendar, Gmail or Drive) while you are on Google’s consent screen.

Lasts: 10 minutes, or until the sign-in finishes.

Connection sign-in

Matches a connected app’s sign-in page with the connection you were adding, so it cannot be tampered with.

Lasts: 10 minutes, or until the sign-in finishes.

Upcoming view

Remembers the view and date range you last chose on Upcoming, so the page opens the way you left it.

Lasts: One year, renewed when you change it.

Demo session

Only in the demo: keeps your place in the sample account.

Lasts: Until you leave the demo.

These remember how you like the app to look and where you left off. They stay in your browser and are not sent to us.

Theme

Light, dark or matching your device.

Lasts: Until you change it.

Assistant placement

Where the assistant sits (circle, docked or floating), its size and position.

Lasts: Until you change it.

Calendar view

The calendar layout you last used and where new events are saved.

Lasts: Until you change it.

Current chat and Home page

Which assistant chat and Home page were open, so a reload keeps your place.

Lasts: Until you close the tab.

Hidden suggestions

Free-time ideas you hid on Upcoming.

Lasts: Until you close the tab.

• No advertising cookies.
• No tracking or analytics cookies, and no tracking pixels.
• No cookies from social networks or other third parties.

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser’s settings. If you block essential cookies you will not be able to sign in. Clearing local storage simply resets your preferences.
